Nolan is a frustrated young author, confined by his own self-perception. He is content to isolate himself from those who care about him, until he meets Cassie. Stunning and unpredictable, she invites him to let go of his cynicism and enjoy the spontaneity of life. Just as he begins to trust his new found instincts, his muse is suddenly ripped away. Nolan is forced to withdraw deep into his own imagination: A world dominated by his obsession. Yet this manic last grasp for control ultimately undoes him and he must escape the limitations of his own ego.
